What is AFROKAPS?
Our link with the US-based Kasiisi Project, means we can use the infrastructure established by them over the past decade. All their programmes have been overseen by AFROKAPS, and now our programme is too.
AFROKAPS is a group of Ugandans made up of members of the local community, parents, teachers, the school management committees, local government, the district education authority and the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Members of AFROKAPS act as advisory members of the Kasiisi Porridge Project. They identify needs, supervise projects, provide accurate accounting and ensure that goals are met. They have a proven track record of competence and commitment stretching back ten years.
