On Thursday 25 October, children from Bedfordshire’s Wrestlingworth Lower School attended their own Harvest Festival service in their village church. Rev. Lindsay Dew led the service, which included the children reading out chosen facts about the Kasiisi Porridge Project, and their own favourite breakfast. Keen to to raise funds for the Porridge Project Farm, they each decorated a picture of a piglet and stuck coins on it, before presenting their handiwork to Kate during the service. Some 40 children produced over £102. This was added to the £76 raised by staff and pupils recently, totalling £178. Thank you to Headteacher Mrs Heather Curry for the idea, and to all those involved in this fundraising (including the parents of course!)!
