Keith Miller arrived at Kasiisi in late July, under the auspices of our partners, the Kasiisi Project. This is truly fantastic news for the Kasiisi Porridge Project. He has a degree in Environmental Health Science and will be a hugely welcome asset. He has experience with organic farming and has a great interest in working with us on the school farm, and helping steer it to an exciting and successful future. We are truly delighted at his arrival and the prospect of him staying with us for the next two years. As for other experiences in his background, as an Americorps Volunteer in national parks in Florida and Nevada, he has tagged sea turtles, reduced forest fuel use, identified and treated invasive non-native plants and worked in Conservation Education. What more could we ask for?
The pictures show Keith with Amy Hanna (our Field Manager and Keith’s supervisor) at the Peace Corps swearing in ceremony, judging a school debate already and his early visits to the farm.
We greatly look forward to working with you, Keith.
